ZERO PERCENT- Documentary on Prison Education & Rehabilitation with Tim Skousen

vor 3 Jahren

ZERO PERCENT the documentary explores prison education, reform, and rehabilitation and the incredible benefit that education has for convicted criminals. How society fails its prison population, and the clear benefit to convicts and society that the education available by the Hudson Link for higher education in prison program has is explored with clips, and the trailer fro the stirring documentary, shared by director Tim Skousen in this BYOD interview, hosted by Ondi Timoner.

Zero Percent takes the audience inside Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison’s college program inside Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison. From the outset of the film, we learn that Hudson Link sponsored students are men who have come to appreciate the full impact of their life-altering crimes, on others and themselves. And while it may be years before they see life outside the prison walls, we see first-hand their insight that their only hope for a redemptive, productive life is through the dedication they have shown in transforming their lives.

Tim Skousen is an award winning filmmaker and commercial director. Zero Percent is his second feature and a major break from the comedy films and commercials for which he is known. His first film is the comedy THE SASQUATCH GANG which won the Audience Award at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2006, as well as awards for best director and best actor at the Aspen Comedy Arts Festival that same year. Skousen is part of Moxie Pictures' well known stable of directors and has directed commercials for Nike, Microsoft, Sprint, Coca-Cola, Nestle and many more. In 2010, he won a Bronze Lion at the Cannes Lions festival for a documentary series about high school football in rural Mississippi made for Cellular South.
