Davis Smith is no stranger to adventure. Growing up abroad, he floated down the Amazon River and survived on uninhabited islands with self-made spears. Now the CEO of Cotopaxi, Smith has built an innovative company that designs outdoor gear to fund social impact initiatives. Driven by the motto, “Gear for Good,” his company donates 10% of profits to help alleviate poverty around the world.

Davis Smith received his MBA from the Wharton School in 2011. Three years later, he founded Cotopaxi -- where he has innovated the industry by placing social impact at the core of his company. A world traveler, having visited 70 countries, Smith brings his passion for doing good into the business world as an entrepreneur and as a member of the UN Foundation’s Global Entrepreneurs Council.
